On January 31, 2025, the EMOK community held a Research Forum for PhD students as part of the Research and Teaching Methodology Workshop, once again providing an excellent opportunity for young marketing researchers to present their work, receive professional feedback, and establish new scientific collaborations.
One of the key highlights of the program was the presentation of the "Most Innovative PhD Research Group 2024"award. The award went to the Dreamteam research group, formed in 2024, consisting of Bettina Bifkovics (Corvinus University of Budapest), Nóra Kisfürjesi (Corvinus University of Budapest), Marianna Hadadiné Jászay (Corvinus University of Budapest), András Fehér (University of Debrecen Faculty of Economics and Business), and Sándor Huszár (University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration). The team introduced themselves and shared the key to their successful collaboration with attending PhD students, offering valuable tips for newly forming research groups.
At the 2025 Forum, four new research groups were formed, focusing on exciting and current topics in marketing science. Participants engaged in joint discussions and research preparation on the following themes:
- The impact of emotions in e-sports
- The effectiveness of marketing communication in the context of different consumer profiles' mental well-being
- AI-based marketing communication and market penetration
- Neuromarketing research on the market for ergonomic office furniture
The event was characterized by an outstandingly positive atmosphere, reinforced by the openness and dedication of the PhD students and the inspiring professional community. Participants came from various national institutions, making the forum an excellent opportunity to explore different research perspectives and methodologies.
The research groups carried out productive work and presented their findings in brief presentations at the end of the event. These presentations generated valuable feedback and further collaboration opportunities. Beyond its professional benefits, the event also strengthened connections among doctoral students, fostering future joint research endeavors.
Both the organizers and participants deemed the forum a great success and expressed their hope that in the coming years, the PhD student community will continue to expand, bringing even more innovative research topics under the umbrella of EMOK.
